How it works
The contrast ratio compares the relative luminance of the two colors, from 1:1 (same color) to 21:1 (black on white). WCAG 2.2 level AA requires 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text (24 px, or 18.66 px bold) and for interface components; level AAA requires 7:1 and 4.5:1. When a combination fails, KadiTools suggests the closest text color — same hue, adjusted lightness — that passes.
