URL Encoder / Decoder

How it works

URLs can only contain a limited set of ASCII characters. Others are written as % followed by their UTF-8 bytes in hex: a space becomes %20, é becomes %C3%A9. Use parameter value mode for anything placed after = in a query string (it also encodes &, = and /), and full URL mode to clean a whole address without breaking its structure. Form mode writes spaces as +, as HTML forms do.

FAQ

What is double encoding?

Encoding an already encoded value turns %20 into %2520. The decoder tells you when a value looks double-encoded.
