How it works
Each line is parsed with the browser's WHATWG URL parser, the same one used to follow links. The tool then checks the scheme, that the host has a valid top-level domain (or is an IP or localhost), and flags spaces, double slashes and missing colons. International domain names are shown in their punycode form (xn--…).
