How it works
Most companies use an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) that parses CVs into fields and ranks them by keywords. The checker runs the same kind of extraction and tests about 15 best practices: text that can be extracted, standard section headings, email and phone found, consistent dates, a reasonable length, bullet points starting with action verbs, numbers that quantify results, no overused clichés. With a job description, it also scores keyword coverage.
