How it works
The optimizer resizes your image for the target you pick, then encodes several candidates — WebP and JPG for photos, WebP and palette-PNG for images with transparency — and keeps the smallest one. The table shows every candidate so you can see what was tried.

Why WebP?
Every modern browser displays it and it's usually the smallest. Untick the option if the file must open in older software.
Is transparency preserved?
Yes. When the image has transparent pixels, JPG is never chosen.
