MD5 Generator
Compute the MD5 checksum of text or a file.
…or drop a file to hash it
MD5 isn't secure. Collisions can be created on purpose, so use it only to detect accidental corruption or for legacy systems. Prefer SHA-256 for anything security-related.

How it works
MD5 (RFC 1321) produces a 128-bit hash, written as 32 hex characters. Web Crypto doesn't include MD5, so KadiTools uses its own implementation, tested against the official test vectors. Text is hashed as UTF-8, which is what most programming languages do. Files are read locally and never leave your device.
FAQ
Can an MD5 hash be decrypted?
No — hashing is one-way. “MD5 decrypters” only look the hash up in tables of common words, which is why MD5 must never be used for passwords.
